We're Lena and Sal, and we teach the recipes that raised us. Roll pasta by hand with us in Renton or Maple Valley, bring us to your next celebration, or come along on our next trip back to Campania. However you find your way to our table, expect flour on the counter, good stories, and food worth lingering over.

We cook together, we share stories, we laugh, and sometimes people come back so many times, they become part of the family.
This year, one guest became our Honorary Ambassador 2026, recognized for attending more classes than anyone else. Sketch of Italy is more than just a class, it's a journey into our favorite expressions of Italy. Some people come back again and again, until there's a seat with their name on it.
What a total Italian experience. Our hosts Lena and Sal made us feel like family. It was so much more than a cooking class. The food was delicious and instruction over and above what you would expect. I definitely want to attend more of their classes.

Absolutely wonderful class! Sal and Lena not only taught us to make pizza napoletana - they also brought us the culture. It felt like being transported to Southern Italy for a big family meal together. I can't wait to come back!
